Week 4

Something that has zero acceleration would be when a car moves at a constant speed and never slows down or stops. Velocity is how fast something goes in a certain direction. Acceleration is a change in velocity so an example of something with zero velocity would be a car racing on a drag strip. The car has to accelerate fast to start of with then it has to decelerate quickly when it comes to the end of te track.

Test Questions:

1. if a car moves from the rest to 5 m/s in 5 seconds, its average acceleration is..

A: 1m/s

2. What is the final velocity of a car that accelerated 10 m/s2 from rest and traveled 180m?

3. What is the deference between velocity and acceleration?

A:  Velocity is quickness or speed of motion and acceleration is the rate of the change of velocity with respect to time.
